DAVIS Paul (Pete) R. Davis, age 61, of Elm Street, Derby, entered into eternal rest unexpectedly on Sunday, August 11, 2002, at the Charlotte Regional Medical Center, Port Charlotte, Fla. He was born in Derby, on November 6, 1940, the beloved son of the late Ralph W. and Thelma Appelt Davis. He was the owner/president of Davis Oil Co. of Derby. He enjoyed his cherished grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews and gardening. His loving family includes his beloved sons, Patrick Davis of Seymour, and Paul E. Davis and his wife, Cheryl, of Oxford; and his loving sisters, Barbara Ciola of Orange, and Judy Zaprzalka of Derby; and his cherished grandchildren, Jamie, Jessica and Jodi; and his beloved companion, Sandra Burton of Seymour; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews. A prayer service will be offered on Friday at 6 p.m. in the chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (Route 67), Seymour, opposite Klarides Shopping Centre, with Father Edward S. Jaksina, pastor of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Seymour, officiating. Interment will be in the family plot at Riverside Cemetery, Shelton, at the convenience of the family.
