Morehead, Ky. - Paul Kirtland Perry II, 92, of Ditney Ridge Road, Morehead, Ky., passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.Born Aug. 12, 1921, in New London, Paul was a son of the late Paul Kirtland Perry and Doris (Roe) Perry. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Perry. Survivors include a daughter, Georgi Ramey and husband, Eric, of Morehead; two sons, Paul Kirtland Perry III and wife, Mary Ellen, of Corinth, Vt., and Ronald Stephen Perry and wife, Evelyn, of East Haddam; a sister, Ann Devine of Torrington; six grandchildren, Kristen Nelson, Paul K. Perry IV, Johnny Perry, Richard Perry, Michael Perry, and Ronald Perry II; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.Mr. Perry was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired self-employed carpenter. In 1990 at the age of 70, he moved from Maine to Morehead with his wife Modell Perry and daughter Georgi. He built a conventional home in the hills of Kentucky and until age 85 worked in carpentry. He also enjoyed playing tennis, spending time with family, making new friends, and caring for his pets. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, Ky.
