Paul K. Anderson Paul K. Anderson, 94, of Hopewell Township, passed on into the loving arms of his Savior on Thursday morning, Dec. 31, 2009, at the Cumberland Manor Nursing Home, in Hopewell Township. His desire was to be in heaven with his Lord, and to sing and give Him glory. The husband of Ada May Anderson (nee Parker), he was born in Altoona, Pa., and was the son of the late John Earling Anderson and the late Florence Anderson (nee Kramme). During his youth, he was active in local gun clubs and had served in the National Guard for 10 years, in Philadelphia, and had worked for the Philadelphia Inquirer for 14 years. Mr. Anderson was a well-known precision glass grinder. His expertise in this area was profound and he was well known throughout the glass industry. He had worked for 20 years for Ace Glass, in Vineland, and until his retirement he worked for Glastron Inc., in Vineland. Mr. Anderson loved the Lord and he expressed his love by caring for his garden, raising flowers and vegetables, building birdhouses and watching birds. He had a beautiful tenor voice, and one of his favorite pastimes was listening to WWB2 caller request music and singing along with the Christian songs. Mr. Anderson was a lifetime member of the Pearl Street Baptist Church, in Bridgeton. He had served the church as a Sunday school teacher for the menÕs class for more than 22 years and had sung in the choir for over 40 years. He also served as the Sunday school superintendent for 10 years and as a deacon. In addition to his wife of 40 years, he is survived by two sons, Paul R. Anderson and his wife, Brenda, of Estelle Manor, and Kenneth L. Anderson, of Vineland; two daughters, Carol Jean Dinshoh, of Port Royal, Pa., and Kathleen E. Anderson, of Germany; 10 grandchildren, Ryan, Justin and Evan Dinshoh, Brenda Jane, Paulie, Joyce, Kevin and Barbara Anderson and Laurie Yance and William Remson; 13 great-grandchildren; three stepchildren, Stephen D. Osborn, of Mississippi, Kathleen Daniels, of Sewell, and Eileen Mossbrooks, of Millville; nine step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Lou Remsen; and one brother, Robert "Bob" Anderson. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 11 a.m. at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton, with the Rev. James Sheldon of the Pearl Street Baptist Church officiating. The interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park, in Hopewell Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home between 10 and 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be sent in Mr. AndersonÕs memory to the Pearl Street Baptist Church, 139 N.
