MANCHESTER - Paul Edward Peters, 63, of Manchester died March 5, 2012, at his home. Mr. Peters was born Dec. 5, 1948, in Washington, MO., to Edward and Violet May Peters. He was a 1967 graduate of Washington High School and continued his education at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo., graduating in 1971 with a bachelor's degree in public administration. During college, Paul was elected president of the Student Body during a time when anti-Vietnam war demonstrations were rocking college campuses across the nation, including his own. Paul's leadership on campus that spring was a vital force in making student concerns well known while avoiding the deadly violence that plagued some other institutions. After college, Paul entered the workforce with his typical enthusiastic spirit, rising to become the CEO of Discwasher, Inc. a Columbia-based company that later merged with Beatrice Foods. Later on, Paul moved to New Hampshire to pursue opportunities in the small business arena. Paul will be remembered for his genuine personality, sincere heart, and incredible sense of humor. He enjoyed playing guitar, going to the range, political satire, and all the good times with friends and family. He is survived by his mother, Violet May Peters of Washington, Mo.; his son, Tyler Peters of Waltham, Mass.; his brother and sister-in-law, JC and Maureen Peters of Vilseck, Germany; and many loving friends and neighbors in both New Hampshire and Missouri. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Peters.
