Paul-C. -Krueger III, spouse of Miriam-R. Krueger, father of Stephen, Va, Paul, Eileen and Krueger, died at 80 years old.
Paul C. Krueger III, 80, died on Oct. 22, at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. Born in Bronx, N.Y., he lived in Wharton from 1957 to 1994, and retired to Cape Coral, Fla., in 1994. As a child, Krueger attended a pilot program for the disabled at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in the Bronx, and then went on to graduate from Lake Carmel High School, Lake Carmel, N.Y., in 1948. In 1952 he received a B.S. in electrical engineering from New York University and continued his graduate studies at the University of Michigan. He worked for the Department of the Army as a civilian electrical engineer for 37 years. Most of his career was spent at Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, in R&D. His work included time at Cape Canaveral, Fla., in the 1950s. Krueger invented several patented ideas before retiring in 1984. During his retirement, he enjoyed model railroading and was a member of Scale Rails of Southwest Florida. He and his wife also enjoyed bible study, world travel, gardening especially raising hibiscus, renovating and renting houses. Paul was very generous and willing to shared his knowledge of a vast array of subjects with all he met. Krueger is survived by his wife of 53 years, Miriam R. Krueger; his three children, Eileen and her husband Gary Rees of Mine Hill, Paul and his wife Jean Krueger of Culpeper, Va., and Stephen and his wife Candi Krueger of Hopatcong; and by his five grandchildren, Paul, Colin, Keely, Lacey, and Hailey. Funeral arrangements were conducted by the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home in Succasunna.
