Patrick L. Flanagan of Abington, formerly of Whitman, passed away December 23, 2012. He was 20. Patrick graduated from Whitman Hanson High School, Class of 2010 and attended Johnson & Whales College in Providence, RI. He worked as a chef at Brae Burn Country Club in Newton. He was an avid music and sports fan who enjoyed following all Boston Sports and Liverpool Soccer. Patrick loved spending time with his family, especially his brothers and special dog Buddy. He will be remembered as a bright and inspiring young man with a contagious smile and constant positive outlook on life. He will be sadly missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. Beloved son of Edward M. and Heidi (Burkard) Flanagan of Abington/Whitman. Loving brother of Michael Flanagan and his girlfriend Diane Owerka of Stoughton, Daniel Flanagan and his wife Kerin of Somerville and Edward Flanagan of Abington. Cherished grandson of Frances (Richardi) Burkard of N. Weymouth and the late Lawrence Burkard, Joseph and Margaret (Ennis) Flanagan. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Relatives and friends gathered in the funeral home on Friday, December 28th prior to the Funeral Mass in The Church of the Holy Ghost, Whitman. Burial in St. Jame's Cemetery, Whitman.
