HARRINGTON PATRICK JOSEPH 'BUD' September 29, 1929 - June 24, 2009 It is with great sorrow that we have to announce the passing of our caring father, Patrick Joseph Harrington. Patrick passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Laurentian Hospital in Sudbury, ON. Patrick was born in Creighton Mine, ON and grew up in Kirkland Lake. He worked many hard years Diamond Drilling and raising his family. Always ready with a story to tell, a hand to lend, or a deal to make; he lit the lives of many people and will leave behind many great memories. Patrick now joins his loving wife Reta (nee Kosy) and is survived by his children, Martyn (wife Christine) of Kirkland Lake, Ava (Bill Wall) of Sudbury, Patrick Micheal Jr. (Madeline) of Kirkland Lake, Kathleen of Kirkland Lake; Timothy of B.C. and Charles of Saskatchewan. His love, laughter and kindness will be greatly missed but never forgotten by his grandchildren Spencer, Jackson, Nickolas, Lucas, and Brandon of Kirkland Lake; and Michael of Ottawa. Predeceased by his brother Frances, Patrick leaves behind several brothers and sisters; Betty Dolotowicz (late Adam) of Cambridge, Lucy Lesparance (late Harvey) of Cambridge, Patricia Burns of King Kirkland, Ada Pekola (Earl Burant) of Kirkland Lake; Judy Hayes (son Carmen) of Kirkland Lake; William of Kirkland Lake; Jim (Barbara) of Cambridge, and Dwight (Victoria) of Elliott Lake. His heartfelt laughter, kindness and his abundant stories will be sadly missed by many close friends and neighbours, including the Beaulieu Family of Kirkland Lake and Southern ON, Herb and Anne Wahl of B.C., the Messier Family of Kirkland Lake, and the Basso Family of Kirkland Lake. A special thank you for your caring friendship to Bud, and for your support during this time. We would like to thank the staff of the Kirkland Lake Hospital, Air Ambulance, and to extend a very special thank you to the staff at Sudbury Memorial, St. Joseph's, and Laurentian Hospital for all the care and support you gave during our father's stay. Forever searching for Gold in them hills during his drilling and prospecting days, when all he had to do was look within himself and see that he had a heart of gold and he shared it with everyone he loved and cared for!
