SARATOGA LAKE, N.Y. Patrick J. Brennan, 73, of Route 9P, died Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at Saratoga Hospital, from complications of cardiac surgery on Monday in Buffalo. Born in Mechanicville, August 16, 1931, he was the son of the late Thomas and Bridgett Brennan and husband of the late Frances Byrne Brennan, who died September 29, 2001. Mr. Brennan was a 1950 graduate of Mechanicville High School, and served in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War. A chauffeur for a number of years with the State of New York, Mr. Brennan also operated the former Brennan's Ale House on Route 9P for years. He was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Stillwater. A warm and friendly man, Pat was a noted conversationalist, who could speak with knowledge about any subject. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Cathleen Brennan and Anne Ahern and brothers, James and Jack Brennan. Survivors include two nephews, along with a number of cousins, and lifelong friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Peter's Church, No. Hudson Ave., Stillwater, with burial in St. Paul's Cemetery. Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville on Friday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Church, Stillwater.
