SMITH - PATRICIA W.Summerfield - Patricia W. Smith, 68, died Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Tuscany House. She was lifetime resident of Marion County and was a homemaker, bookkeeper and partner in S & S Ranch. She was a life time member of Weirsdale Presbyterian Church where she served as Sunday School teacher, deacon, and elder. She also spent time collecting donations for needy families during the holidays. She was a 1961 graduate of Lake Weir High School where she was a cheerleader and majorette. She also served on numerous reunion committees. She collected all things elephant, porcelain dolls, enjoyed crafting, gardening, reading, Humphrey Bogart movies, and spending time with her dogs. She is survived by her husband, Franklin "Frank" Smith; sons, Darrell D. Smith, Darren F. Smith, granddaughters, Casey Dawn Smith, Haley Brooke Smith and sister Charlene W. Preston, all of Weirsdale. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am on Saturday October 8, 2011 at First Baptist Church Summerfield in the Newman Life Center. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County, PO Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34480.
