Obituary of Patricia-T. Smith


Patricia T. Smith Vernon Patricia T. Smith was called to her Saviors side on October 26, 2010. She was surrounded by her loving family through an inspiring bout with cancer. She was a cashier at the Sherrill P&C for 16 years and a member of the Alliance church in Sherrill. She was a devoted mother to Gary Smith and his wife, Bonnie, of Knoxboro, Scott Smith and his wife, Alice, of Oneida, Susan Valente and her husband, Rick, of N. Utica, Connie Smith, of N. Utica, and Richard Smith and his wife, Jennifer, of Canastota. Pat was a caring grandmother to Ben, Becky, Jessica, Tina, Brent, Shawn, Michael, Phillip, Ty and Tanya; and six great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by them all, as well as her dear friend, Jeannette Baird. She is also survived by her siblings, James Taylor and his wife, Bonnie, of Rome, Ed Taylor and his wife, Susan, of North Carolina, Peggy Fuller, of Rome, and William Taylor and his wife, Patricia, of Lee. Pat was pre-deceased by her husband of nearly 50 years, Garner (2006); her loving son, Jeffrey (2000); and infant son, Garner Jr. (1957). Calling hours will be held at Malecki Funeral Home in Sherrill on Friday,October 29, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with a funeral service at the Alliance Church in Sherrill at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 30. In lieu of flowers, Pat asks that you pay it forward. There will be a tree for your pledges at the church. Patricia Smith
