VERO BEACH, Fla. Patricia S. Davis, 77, of Vero Beach and East Greenbush, N.Y., died peacefully July 27, 2005 with her family by her side at VNA Hospice House after a prolonged illness. She was born July 9, 1928 in Cooperstown, N.Y. and she had been a winter resident of Vero Beach since 1988. Pat was church administrator for the First United Methodist Church, East Greenbush for 17 years before her retirement in 1989. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and active with Girl Scouts of American and Little League in East Greenbush. She created a loving home for her family and friends. Her time spent in the kitchen, cooking and baking, will be a lasting memory to all who ever had the opportunity to share one of Pat's wonderful meals. Pat enjoyed hobbies of candle making, knitting and sewing. She appreciated nature through her love of roses, pansies and cardinals. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Doy Davis of Vero Beach and East Greenbush, N.Y; sons, Randal Davis (Laurie) of Granby, Conn. and Timothy Davis of East Greenbush, N.Y.; daughters, Jill Cohen (Larry) of Merrimack, N.H. and WendySue Prout (Jim) of Troy, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren, Jen, Maura, Kyleen, Matt, Olivia, Elissa and Lindsay. A memorial service was held Saturday, August 27, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church, East Greenbush, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to East Greenbush United Methodist Church Endowment Fund, 1 Gilligan Rd., East Greenbush, NY 12061, in memory of Pat. Arrangements were under the direction of Strunk Funeral Home.
