Patricia-Ruth Ross, spouse of Ronald-C. Ross, mother of Tom and Thomas W, died. Please consult the obituary here:
ROSS, Patricia Ruth 85, went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 13th, 2012. After a full and meaningful life she passed away quickly due to an acute illness. Pat was raised in Milwaukee, WI and spent her career as an elementary school teacher. Her husband of 52 years, Ronald C. Ross, was also a teacher. Ron predeceased his wife in 2006 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Pat was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed her career as a teacher. Spending most of her married years in New Berlin, WI. Pat supported and participated in her family's hobbies of gardening, dog training, and hunting, shooting, and fishing. She became an excellent cook, master canner, and gifted photographer. In 1962 their son Thomas W. Ross was born on the day of a Packer/Bear football game. The doctor and her husband were glad she waited to deliver Tom until the game (which the Packers won 38-7) was over! After his birth, the family spent their summers vacationing in their pick-up camper from coast to coast, with a trip each year to their favorite spot Pine Lake near Hiles, WI. Upon her husband's death, Pat moved to Sun City Center, to be closer to her son and brother. She resided at Aston Gardens until this year, when she moved into Hawthorne Village in Brandon. She is survived by her brother, Roger Zwieg; son, Tom Ross; daughter-in-law, Tina Ross (nee Miller), and her 2 grandchildren, Brett and Rebecca Ross. If friends and family wish, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research (www.ahaf.org/alzheimers) or the Bell Shoals Baptist Church Global Missions Fund. An informal (because Pat would have wanted it that way) memorial service will be held on Monday, Aug. 20th from 68 pm in the Multipurpose Center of Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon. Her personality (tough on the outside - tender hearted on the inside) will be missed but we rejoice that she is now in Heaven with her Savior, Jesus Christ, and reunited with her husband - whom she never stopped loving.
