Obituary of Patricia-Pennington Williams

<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Sept. 14, 1951 - Sept. 5, 2014 Patricia Pennington Williams, a native of Greensboro, NC, and longtime resident of Mobile and Fairhope, passed away September 5, 2014. She was 63 years old. The daughter of Lucine and Manuel Pennington, she is survived by her husband, Locke, and daughter, Erin, both of Fairhope; sister, Judy Childers of Mobile; and many cousins from North Carolina. Patty attended public schools in Mobile and graduated from John S. Shaw High School. After attending the University of Montevallo and Auburn University, she became a medical technologist. She excelled in her profession, always considerate of the patient. Patty loved nature and being in it. From working in her flowerbeds to hiking and camping, she enjoyed all that Mother Nature possessed. She especially enjoyed the trails of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and for many years was an avid caver, exploring the subterranean world from Tennessee to Mexico. Her family loves and misses her. We will keep her in our hearts forever. A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, with the funeral service to follow directly at 2:00 PM. Interment will be in Pine Rest Memorial Park.
