MICHAELS Patricia A., 65, of Wayne passed away peacefully, Monday, December 30, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Paterson, surrounded by the love of her family. Pat was born in Brooklyn, NY, raised in Dumont, NJ and has resided in Wayne for the past 40 plus years. After graduating Dumont High School she attended Montclair University and Seton Hall University Law School where she received her Law Degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She was very proud to have known the late Senator Frank Lautenberg and have him preside at her Law School graduation. She then attended classes to receive IRS training in personal income tax preparation which she practiced for many years and became licensed to appeal and appear before IRS review boards. Pat believed in helping people less fortunate and spent much time in the Pro Bono preparation of taxes and various other legal matters for the people of Passaic County. She was very proud of her Wizard of Oz and Carousel Horse collections and took great pride in the family heirlooms she collected. Pat was predeceased by her parents John and Margaret and is survived by her brothers Richard and his wife Liz, Thomas and his wife Cindi, Joseph and his wife Nancy, along with nieces Lorianne, Nicole, Danielle and Jacquelyn. Cremation was private and the immediate family laid Pat to rest at George Washington Memorial Cemetery, Paramus, NJ on January 7, 2014.
