COOK, Patricia May (nee Hughes) - After a lengthy battle with Cancer, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday May 4, 2008 in her 81st year. Cherished wife of 59 years of William Thomas James “Jim“ Cook. Beloved mother of Robin Bradley (Ed), Chris (Pauline), Karen Steacy (Doug), Dan (Sharlene) and Patrick. Loving grandmother of Brooke (Cameron), Kevin, Micheal, James, Elizabeth (Troy), Andrew, Mathew, Keilan, Alyssa, Mackenzie, Amanda and Tyler. She was an extended mother to all her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Marion Ritchie and Joan Nickapelo and her brother Jim Hughes. Patricia was a proud member of the C.W.L., and her other joys and accomplishments included volunteering at the Kingston Cancer Clinic, knitting clothes for pre- mature babies, and being involved with the Kingston Area Real Estate Association and the Taoist Tai Chi Society of Kingston. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the Palliative Care Team of the Kingston Cancer Clinic, CanCare Health Services and especially Theresa James. The family will receive friends at the ROBERT J. REID AND SONS FUNERAL HOME 309 Johnson Street (at Barrie Street) on Tuesday between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Cathedral on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Cremation will follow with private Rite of Committal Prayers being said later at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Kingston or to University Hospitals Kingston Foundation. 11074870
