Obituary of Patricia-M. Jones


The memorial service for Mrs. Patricia M. Jones will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at Trinity Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Michael Carlisle and Tom Osborne officiating.Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro. Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.Mrs. Jones graduated with honors from Wheaton College in Massachusetts. Later in life, she got her master's degree in mental health counseling from the University of North Alabama. She was director of outpatient services at Riverbend, where she retired in 1999. Mrs. Jones was a member of Muscle Shoals Service League and past member of the vestry at Trinity Episcopal Church.She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Male; sister, Liz Woods; father- and mother-in-law, Congressman Robert E. Jones Jr. and Christine Jones.Mrs. Jones is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Robert E. Jones III; sons, Matthew Carter Jones and wife, Micki, and Dr. Frazier Jones and wife, Beth; sister, Barbara Rockwell; grandchildren, Lauren Christine Jones, Brooks Carter Jones, Garrett Jones, Nathaniel Emmett Jones and Jacob McClanahan Jones; and nieces and nephews.Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.The family would like to express special thanks for the love and devotion of Lorie Lovelace and Krisie Scott.
