MENDON - Patricia M. Johnson, 84, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mendon, died Sept. 24, 2008, at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg, after a short illness.She was born in Rutland Jan. 15, 1925, the daughter of Stephen and Gertrude (Stratton) Johnson.She was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy.Miss Johnson began her nursing career in Randolph and was employed at Veterans Administration hospitals in White River Junction, Pennsylvania and Florida.She enjoyed the ocean and going on cruises.Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Black of Rutland, and a granddaughter.She was predeceased by a sister, Ann, and three brothers, Stephen, Francis and William.Burial will be at a later date.Arrangements are under the direction of the Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.View the guest book at www.rutlandherald.com/obits.
