March 18, 1948 - September 25, 2013It is with sadness that we announce that Patricia (Pat) passed away in Victoria on September 25, 2013.Born March 18, 1948 in Westlock, AB and raised in Victoria. B.C. since 1954. Pat attended St Patrick's school, St Ann's academy, and Oak Bay Senior Secondary.Pat is predeceased by her beloved parents Peggy (1991) and Don Hansen (1997) and her only brother Rick Hansen (1978).After 25 yrs as a Branch Manager with Coast Capital Savings Credit Union, Pat retired in January 2000 to fight a lengthy and very private battle with cancer. In July of 2012 the cancer returned and after a courageously fought effort she passed away peacefully surrounded by her precious loved ones.Pat is survived and will be missed by her loving husband David Sokalski. Together they shared the last 15 years travelling and wandering the four corners of the world to their hearts content and enjoyed all that life had to offer.Our Mom will be deeply missed by her three dearly loved children and their families. Daughter Tammy (Peters) Hooper and son in law Chris Hooper - Vancouver, B.C. Son Jeff Peters and daughter in law Karen Peters and grandsons Brecken, Rylan and Caden - Enderby, B.C. Daughter Kelleen (Peters) Delli Carri and son in law John Delli Carri and grandson Tyler - Victoria, B.C.Also left to remember and survive our mom are her nephew Jamie and sister in law Sandra Hansen, both of ON, Her Aunt Ruth, the Brennan and Armitage cousins, especially Debbie. And her 3 loving sisters in law Adeline, Peggy and Rena - all of AB. David's family - his daughters Debbie & Dana & grandchildren Brianne and Dylan, brother Ron and wife Linda, sister Susan and husband Graeme. Pat leaves behind many close friends, co workers and clients from her many years at Coast Capital.Memorial Service to be held at First Memorial, 4725 Falaise Dr., Victoria BC. on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at 10:00 am. with Rev. Gordon Thurston officiating. Flowers gratefully declined - if desired please donate to CIBC Run for the Cure - of which Tammy was the CIBC Vancouver chair 2012 and co chair in 2011, to the Victoria Hospice, Palliative Response Team in Pat's name or to the Jeneece Edroff Society.
