Obituary of Patricia-Jean Hewitt


HEPHZIBAH, Ga.-Mrs. Patricia Jean Hewitt of Ellen Street entered into rest Sunday, May 30, 2004 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 4, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Jenkins Memorial C.M.E. Church with Rev. Timothy Green officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Hewitt, a native of Hopewell, N.J. and had lived in New York and St. Croix, V.I. before moving to Augusta five years ago. As a licensed practical nurse, she was employed at East Central Regional Hospital/Gracewood Campus and had retired from St. Croix Juan Louis Hospital. She was a member of Jenkins Memorial CME Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert A. Young and a brother, Anthony Trifiletti. Survivors are her husband, Albert Hewitt, Sr.; three sons, Martin (Peggie) Hewitt, Hephzibah, Albert (Jocelyn) Hewitt, Jr., Augusta, Kevin (Marlene) Hewitt, St. Croix, V.I.; two daughters, Alicia Patricia (Rupert) Hewitt-Samuel, St. Croix, V.I., Vanessa Diane (Joseph) Hewitt-Quinland, Hephzibah; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; mother, Louise Young, Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sisters, Dorothy Young, Brooklyn, N.Y., Linda (Eric) Jackson, Randolph, Mass. and other relatives. Williams Funeral Home, 2945 Old Tobacco Road, Hephzibah.
