Patricia-J. Taylor, born in 1938, spouse of Bob Taylor, daughter of Edward and Vera, died on February 3, 2014 at 75 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
Taylor, Patricia J.Feb. 19, 1938 - Feb. 3, 2014Patricia J. Taylor, 75, of Bradenton, "fought the good fight" while on this earth, and went to join her Lord on February 3, 2014. Pat was born in Akron, Ohio on February 19, 1938 to Vera and Edward Hofle. During her life she served many roles as loving wife, mother, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt, educator, mentor, colleague, neighbor and friend. She married the love of her life, Robert Taylor at 18 years old, and achieved many accomplishments, including obtaining her college degree while raising two small children. She then taught at the University of Akron for over 30 years and touched many lives while there. Pat battled severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and its complications for much of her adult life, but never complained about living with daily pain. She retired to Florida with her husband were she continued to touch the lives of the people she encountered with her generosity and sharing. She enjoyed reading, travel and especially her family. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband of 58 years, Bob, her daughter, Dr. Lorree Taylor (Dr. Andrew Folley) of TX, her son, WR Duke Taylor, JD, of MI, her brother Marty Hofle (Carol) of Ocala, Fl, sisters, Linda Edwards of CA and Mary Hofle (Ken Bosworth) of ID. She also leaves 7 precious grandchildren who she doted on, Dr. Austin Folley (Angie), Caitlyn Folley, Tarrah Folley, Meghan Folley, Amanda Cali Taylor, Georgia Grace Taylor and Eloise Patricia Taylor. Pat will be remembered with love and joy. A private family gathering will be held in Bradenton, FL with a Memorial Service to be held at a later date and designated location. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel in charge of arrangements. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Edwin Shaw Challenge Golf.
