Obituary of Patricia-J. Smith


SUNAPEE, N.H. - Patricia J. (McGoff) Smith, 66, of Sunapee, N.H. entered into eternal rest Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at her home. She was born March 17, 1944, to the late Thomas and Raffaela (DeMasi) McGoff of Barre. Patty's life was filled with strong faith and a gift of creativity that was expressed in painting, puppetry, and the healing art of nursing. Her life took her from the mountains of Vermont to the oceans of California and finally to the haven of New Hampshire. In each place she left her mark and memory. She will be deeply missed. Patty is survived by her husband, Mark Smith of Milford, Conn.; her loving children Holly Aguilera and her husband Manuel of Sunland, Calif., and Jason Smith of Ferndale, Mich.; her grandchildren Hope Aguilera of Manchester, N.H., Zach and Angelica Aguilera of Sunland, Calif; her siblings Marilyn Luurtsema of Georges Mills, N.H., Tom and Marge McGoff of Barre, Kathy and Adam Ulbin of Brookline, Mich., Cheri and Bob Winchester of Rainier, Ore., and Resa and Steve Ferreira of Middletown, Conn. Patty is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins throughout the country. Services will be held Thursday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. at the Lake Sunapee Methodist Church, 9 Lower Main St., Sunapee, N.H. For additional information, please call Holly at 603-454-5050.
