Patricia-Ellen Lee, born in 1937, spouse of Bill Lee, son of Paul and Edith, father of Fla, David A, N. C, Lee and William, died. Please consult the obituary here:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16 Patricia (Pat) Lee was born to the late Paul and Edith Jenkins on Jan. 12, 1937, in Johnson City, Tenn. She graduated from Science Hill High School and attended East Tennessee State University. A medical career was her goal from the time she was a young girl and when she met Bill she was in nurse's training. She put her goal on hold to marry this young policeman whom she met one night in the emergency room at the local hospital. Pat married the love of her life, William (Bill) Lee, on Oct. 10, 1956, and moved to Fort Walton Beach, Fla., in September 1961. She was employed as an EKG technician at the old Fort Walton Beach Hospital. When the present Fort Walton Beach Medical Center opened in 1974, at that time called General Hospital, she became the Director of the Cardiology Department until she retired for medical reasons in 1992. Pat was the charter president of the Fraternal Order of Police Ladies Auxiliary, Emerald Coast Lodge 44, and her husband, Bill, was the charter president of the Fraternal Order of Police, Emerald Coast Lodge 44. Pat was a member of Wright Baptist Church where she taught, with Bill, for several years in the Preschool Sunday School Department and VBS until her many health problems made it impossible for her to continue. She loved all of her friends at Wright Baptist Church but especially felt close to the children. She was thrilled when parents brought the children to see her after she was unable to continue teaching. On Jan. 25, she closed her eyes and went to be with her Lord Jesus. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Paula Meade. She is survived by her husband and best friend, William M. (Bill) Lee after 52 years of marriage; two sons, William M. (Bill) Lee II and wife Cheryl of Siler, N.C., and David A. (Tony) Lee of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Michael Lee, Jenna Noel Shelley and Tristan Lee; two great-grandchildren, Kala Lee and Sophie Marie Shelley; brother, Dan Jenkins of Johnson City; and sister, Barbara Monroe and husband Gary of Grey, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Patricia Counts and husband Bob of Jonesborough, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Shirley Knox; and very dear nephew, Bill Knox, of Fort Walton Beach; stepmother, Gladys Jenkins of Johnson City; and several nephews, nieces, and great-nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 28, at Wright Baptist Church, Fort Walton Beach, with Pastor Sean McMahon officiating. Visitation will start one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery. Emerald Coast Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Flowers will be accepted or you may make donations in Pat's honor to the Wright Baptist Church Building Fund. Pat is not dead; she is alive and happy with her Lord. At last she has no more pain, from which she suffered for many years due to her numerous debilitating injuries. You may share your condolences and memories at www.emeraldcoastfuneralhome.com.
