JACKSON, Patricia Elizabeth Passed away on February 19, 2013, at the age of 83. Pat had been a resident of Tequesta, Florida, since 1989. She was a former resident of Wilmington, Delaware and Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Pat was born in Easton, Pennsylvania on October, 14 1929, graduated from Walnut Hill High School in Boston, Massachusetts, and was a graduate of Connecticut College, New London, Connecticut, Class of 1951. Pat will be very much missed by her family, friends and loving husband of 30 years, Milton Jackson. Pat faced life with a great joy and handled adversity with dignity and courage. She loved the beach and ocean having spent her summers in Beach Haven, New Jersey. Pat's major hobbies included loving her children and grandchildren, swimming and also reading where she filled almost every spare moment with her nose in a book. Pat was very active in the Junior League of Wilmington, Delaware, where she made wonderful friends while working on many beneficial programs. Pat enjoyed the social aspects of tennis and golf and was a founding member of the Greenville Country Club, a premier club in the Wilmington area. She was also an active member of the Tequesta Country Club. Pat's family includes: Her sister Ann Perry Frankenthal (Charlie); Her Children: Josephyne "Jodie" McCormick Payne (George); Son Nilsson Edward "Gunnar" Degerberg (Ron Browning); Son Willis Anthony "Tony" McCormick; and extended family; Daughter Susan Ellen Irving (Michael); Daughter Carol Jackson Smith (Stephen); Daughter Abigail Fleming (William); Daughter Sarah Elizabeth Smith (Clayton); and 12 grandchildren; Jackson Hill Payne; Lee Standish Payne; Colette D'Angelo (Pete); Magnus Irving; Theodor Smith; Emily Smith; Abigail Smith; Catharine Fleming; Clayton Smith Jr.; Marlay Smith; Jacob Judson McCormick; Kristina Mylan McCormick. Pat was preceded in death by her son Kristopher Anthony McCormick. A service will be held for Pat at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 400 Seabrook Road, Tequesta, Florida, on Friday March 1, 2013, at 11:00AM.
