->Patricia Catherine JonesBEEKMAN- Patricia Catherine Jones, 77, a thirty-six year resident of Dutchess County, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2011 at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh. Patricia was supported and cared for by her family, friends and doctors throughout her courageous 27 month battle with lung cancer. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 30, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Paul Leon Rooney and Florence Keogh Rooney. Raised as a Depression-era Catholic, she held a deep belief in God and enjoyed learning about all religions. On December 10, 1955 she married her husband, Joseph Mills Jones, who predeceased her on March 4, 1995. Patricia was a homemaker who held various jobs throughout her life. As she matured, she found great passion in observing life and making people smile, particularly her children and grandchildren, and in maintaining a spotless household. Patricia also held a keen interest in nursing throughout her life. She is survived by her brother, Michael J. Rooney, of Baltimore, Maryland; her daughter, Rosemary L. Gustin and husband, James, of Hernando County, Florida; her son, Joseph M. Jones, of Dutchess County; her three grandsons, Bryan J. Gustin and wife, Tracy, Kevin M. Jones, and Lukas K. Jones; and one great-granddaughter, Danika J. Gustin. Arrangements are graciously tended to under the direction of McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend John Simon officiating.
