Obituary of Patricia-C. Smith


Patricia "Patsy" C. Smith was born Oct. 10, 1944, in Freehold, N.J., and died April 5, 2010, in St. Augustine, Fla.She graduated high school in Matawan, N.J., in 1962 and The University of Vermont in 1966 with a bachelor of science degree. Patsy was the co-owner of the Algonquin Restaurant in Bolton Landing, N.Y., and ran the restaurant for many years. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Teddy J. Smith, of St. Augustine; her daughter, Jennifer S. Robinson and her husband, Barry T. Robinson, and grandson, Benjamin T. Robinson of Queensbury, N.Y.; her son, Peter H. Smith, and his wife, Julia H. Smith, and granddaughter, Lucy W. Smith, of New York City; her sister, Susan Volkmann, of Bolton Landing, N.Y.; and a brother, Richard Carlson, of St. Johnsbury, Vt. She was predeceased by her parents, Everett and Mary Carlson. A memorial service will be held on April 18, 2010, at noon at the Inn at Erlowest, Lake Shore Drive, Lake George, N.Y. The memorial service will start promptly at noon, and a reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257. Thank you to all of Patsy's family and friends who supported her during her courageous battle with cancer. Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park is assisting the family.
