Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Village Chapel for Patricia Annette Spurling Smith, 70, Gadsden, who died March 18, 2012. The Rev. Billy Boatwright will officiate. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Village Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Mrs. Smith was a member of Gospel Temple Christian Center. She was employed by the Lee Plant for several years and was well-known for her chocolate cakes. She loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Smith; daughter, Kim Robinson; parents, Frank and Etta Spurling; three brothers; and three sisters.She is survived by her daughters, Angie (Glenn) Brackett and Apryl (Tracy) Garrison; grandchildren, Matthew (Casey) Smith, Kayla (David) Johnson, Teri Rogers, Miranda Robinson, Paige, Heather and Meagan Garrison; five great-grandchildren; brother, David (Carol) Spurling.Pallbearers will be Glenn Brackett, David Johnson, Tracy Garrison, Matthew Smith, Charles Huff, Larry Rogers, Donnie Arrington and Greg Huff.Special thanks to Dr. Big A.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
