Patricia Anne Smith, 62, died March 23, 2010. She was born in Paterson, N.J., and lived in Port St. Lucie since 1973, coming from New Jersey. She was a court reporter for 42 years and was co-owner of Court Reporters Inc. She was a Florida professional reporter and national registered professional reporter in St. Lucie County for 37 years. Survivors include her husband, William Thomas Smith of Port St. Lucie; son, William Thomas Smith II of Newington, Conn.; father, John Cheppo of Lady Lake; brother, Robert Cheppo of West Va.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Victoria Cheppo. Services: A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. March 27 in the Haisley Funeral Home Chapel.
