Patricia-Ann Boyd, spouse of Carl Boyd, mother of Cherie and Cynthia, died on December 10, 2009.
BOYD, Patricia Ann "Pat," "Patti," went to be with the Lord Thursday, December 10, 2009. Born in Missouri, in 1940, she moved to Tampa in her pre-teen years, where she lived for the rest of her life. She joined the Palma Ceia Baptist Church, and became a very active and model Christian. She taught Sunday School to four and five year olds, and later to the teenagers. June 7th, 1957, she married Carl Boyd, a Hillsborough County School Music Teacher. This past year they celebrated 52 years of marriage. She brought forth two beautiful daughters, Cynthia Elaine and Cherie Elizabeth. She was a perfect wife and mother and gave her all to her husband and children. In the 1980s she began delivering the Tampa Tribune, where she worked until her death. She achieved one of the best home delivery records, and her customers will surely miss her. Pat was a very loving and devoted person; and her love rubbed off on everyone she met. She gave her life to the Lord as well as gave of herself, her time and often her money to those who needed it. She leaves behind her husband, Carl; and daughters, Cynthia Hill and Cherie Boyd; sister, Peggy in Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews. The world became a more beautiful place because of Pat and now heaven is a more beautiful heaven. A visitation will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2009, with funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., both at Palma Ceia Baptist Church.
