Mrs. Taylor (Pat) passed away peacefully, on Sunday, July 27, 2008 at home in Sykesville, MD. She was 79 years old. Born Patricia Ann Kilmartin in New York City, she was the ninth child of Michael and Susan Kilmartin. She graduated from Cathedral High School in New York City and worked in secretarial positions. In 1954 she married Edmund R. Taylor at Blessed Sacrament Church in New Rochelle, NY. They lived in Westchester County. In 1966 they settled in Pocantico Hills with their daughter, Patty. Mrs. Taylor was active in her community, volunteering at the Church of the Magdalene and with the Girl Scouts. She also worked and studied at Pace University in Pleasantville. The Taylors retired to Ellicott City, MD in 1996 to be near their grandchildren. After Ed passed away in 2002, Pat moved to Fairhaven Retirement Community in Sykesville. She made many new friends, served on the entertainment committee and continued to pursue her passion for crafts. Mrs. Taylor is survived by her daughter and son in law Patty and Tony Salazar and their children, Rebecca Paul and Ben. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday., Aug. 2nd at 2 PM in the Fairhaven Chapel,Sykesville, MD. Reception to follow. Private inurnment at the Monticello Graveyard in Charlottesville, VA.
