->Ledyard - Patricia A. Morrison, 65, of Blacksmith Drive, Ledyard, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2010, at the Hospice Unit at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.Patricia, born on July 20, 1944, was the only child of Charles and Margaret Doucette. She was raised in Waterford and was a 1962 graduate of Waterford High School.She married Gary Morrison on Feb. 1, 1964, at St. Mary Star of the Sea, New London. Pat and Gary recently celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary.Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Coombe, wife of Michael, and their two daughters, Shelby and Meredith. She is also survived by her son, Paul Morrison and his wife, Laura, and their daughter, Danielle.Pat was a devoted wife and mother who took pride in taking care of her family. In addition to homemaking, she especially enjoyed sewing, knitting, needlework, calligraphy, and doll making. She loved making teddy bears. She was involved with the Schoolhouse Coop in Gales Ferry, the American Needlepoint Guild, and the Pequot Colony Chapter of the Embroiderers Guild of America.Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at Thomas L. Neilan & Sons, Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London.
