Obituary of Parker-George Blanchard


Parker George Blanchard, 25 WINDHAM - Parker G. Blanchard, son of Beverly L. Commoss of Norway and Wayne P. Blanchard Senior of Millinocket, passed away in a fire, August 11, 2013. He was born in Bridgeton, August 3, 1988. He was brought home to 13 Main Street where he also lived at the time he passed away. He graduated from Portland High School and was one semester from completing his degree in Biology at USM, where he was a member of the Dormitory Council. He planned to continue his education in a Master's in Pharmacology program. While in High School he acted in dramas and he started an Anime Club. He was an avid animal lover and loved his three cats. Interests included the outdoors, music and collecting anime. He was a scientist and voracious reader. Politics were important to Parker; he planned to run for town council. He was employed by Northeast Distribution Services. Parker is survived by his parents; his brother and best friend, Wayne (Philip) Blanchard, Jr. of Portland, sisters, Courtney S. Blanchard of Arlington, Mass., and Maria A. Commoss of Norway. He also left his beloved fiancée Annette D. Kowalik. Services will be held Sunday, August 25th, 1:00 p.m., at North Windham Union Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Harvest Hills Animal Shelter of Bridgeton Parker G. Blanchard
