Paolo Palleschi RotterdamPaolo Palleschi, 61, passed away peacefully on Saturday at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Paolo was born in Broccostella, Province of Frosinone, Italy and a son of the late Eugenio and Maria D'Ambrosio Palleschi. He served in the Italian Army and lived in France for a period of time before immigrating to the United States in 1973. He worked as a mason for many years with Febreno Construction in Schenectady. Paolo was proud of his Italian heritage and was a devoted member of the Sons of Italy Gabriele D'Annunzio Lodge #321, in Rotterdam, where he participated in many activities such as playing Bocce and volunteering for various events at the club. He was also a member of the Rotterdam Soccer Club and he loved fishing in Lake Placid, hunting, making homemade wine and cooking. The most important part of Paolo's life, however, were his family and his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his siblings, Antonio Palleschi, Oliviero Palleschi and Speranza DiSorbo. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 38 wonderful years, Graziella Farina Palleschi; adoring children, Stefano Palleschi and his wife, Jennifer and Claudio Palleschi and his wife, Christina; cherished grandchildren, Gino, Alessandra, Isabella and Luca; adored mother-in-law, Vincenza Farina; and uncle, Giovanni D'Ambrosio; he is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Paolo's family would like to thank the nursing staff on C-1 at Ellis Hospital for the loving care shown to him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, Hamburg Street. Entombment to follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
