STEELE _ Pamela Joyce of Port Coquitlam, BC died unexpectedly October 15, 2006. Born and raised Fort Frances, Ont. where she received her education and BA/B ED degrees from UOL, Ont. She began teaching at Robert Moore Elem. in her home town known as "The Fort" from 1970 - 91. Her passion for teaching fully exhibited and became widely respected. Pam was a great organizer and charismatic leader, with an ability to make work Fun for all. She also spent several summers at Lakehead University to achieve special Education status. In 1991, after stopping briefly in Waterloo, Ont. Pamela arrived in BC "The Land of her Dreams". Here she taught in Abbottsford, before moving to Coquitlam to teach at Scott Creek and Banting Schools, while in her spare time completing an "English as a Second Language" program. Pamela was an exemplary role model for new and practiced educators; she not only had a committed role in lives of countless young children, but was active in Ont. and BC Teachers Fed. Pam had only retired in June 2005 but had enjoyed every day until her "way too young death". Pamela: "A Bright Loving Light" for parents Gladys and Glen (Deceased) residents of Fort Frances.
