PEGGY ANN MITCHELL VALPARAISO, IN Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Peggy Ann Mitchell, 68, of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013. She was born June 27, 1945 in Valparaiso to Thomas R. and Margaret “Peggy” Pierce and graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1963. Peggy had served at Valparaiso University in their Dining Services for the past 20 years. She will be fondly remembered for her love of crafting particularly her ceramics. Her love of family and friends was outdone only by the joy she took in shopping for her granddaughter, Anna. On November 9, 1968, Peggy married Bennie Mitchell who survives along with their children: Tom Mitchell and John Mitchell both of Valparaiso, Carrie (William) Daly of Utah, siblings: Thomas (Judith) Pierce of Hobart, Sandra (Robert) Spaulding and James (Helene) Pierce of Valparaiso; her granddaughter, Anna Wren Daly; and many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by one son, Terry Mitchell in 1996; and her parents. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso. Burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.
