MEYERS II, PAUL EDWARD Mr. Paul E. Meyers, 33, of Jackson, TN passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday April 5, 2012 at 11:00 am at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL. Graveside Service will follow on Friday, April 6, 2012 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, TN. Paul was born in Birmingham, AL on November 3, 1978 to Gayle Davis Meyers of Birmingham, AL, and the late Gregory Paul Meyers. He was the Assistant Public Defender of the 26th Judicial District for the State of Tennessee. He will be greatly missed by his family, and all that knew him. In 2001, Paul graduated cum laude from Rhodes College with a degree in Business Administration. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and served as Social Chairman. While at Rhodes he was a two-year letterman on the basketball team. After earning his degree, he attended The University of Mississippi School of Law where he graduated cum laude in 2004. After receiving his Juris Doctorate, his first employment was with Friedman & Downey, P.C. in Birmingham, AL. Paul was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church and loved raising money for the Salvation Army at Christmas time. Other than his mother he is also survived by 3 sisters; Julia Meyers of Atlanta, GA, Margie Meyers Davidson and husband Michael, and Laura Ann Meyers Daly and husband Joseph, all of Birmingham. A grandmother, Mrs. Paul Edward Meyers of Savannah, GA and several aunts and uncles; Mr. and Mrs. George Long of Savannah, GA, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Meyers of Philadelphia, PA, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davis, Jr. of Memphis, TN, Prudy Davis, and Julia Davis both of Memphis, TN. Other than his father, Paul was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. Paul Edward Meyers of Savannah, GA and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miles Davis, Sr. of Memphis, TN. Pall bearers will be Joseph Daly, Michael Davidson, Matthew Michael and Todd Wood of Birmingham, AL, Ross Armstrong of Del Mar, CA, Rusty Ballentine of Jackson, TN, Michael Garibaldi and James Underwood of Memphis, TN and David Lightburn of Atlanta, GA. A visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Ridout's Funeral Home, Homewood Location.
