PAUL ANTHONY HAMILTON Passed away peacefully at Credit Valley Hospital with friends and family at his side on the evening of April 16, 2014 at age 69. An entrepreneur, lover of music and loyal friend, Paul was proud father to Tracey and Tyler, grandfather to Chandler, Carleigh, Claire and Ruby, father-in-law to Allan and Lyne, brother to Marcheta, son to the late Clarice Hargrove (McNevin) and Thomas Hamilton and lifelong friend to JoAnn King. He will be fondly remembered by nieces Karen and Cheryl, as well as the many friends and relatives whose lives he enriched over the decades. Paul was founder of Entertainment Hardware (previously Lots of Discs), established in the early 1980s as a place for people to rent or buy sound and lighting equipment. He offered a way for friends and family to have fun and connect through music and dance. Paul was also an entertainer himself, whether in his teenage years as singer for Paul Hamilton & The Bluenotes or during the 1990s in the local band Middle Aged Crazies. He also spent many years as a disc jockey and sound technician. Music was a part of his life and through Entertainment Hardware he shared that love of music with the larger community. He will be greatly missed by all. A celebration of Paul's life will be held in the near future. Family and friends will be notified. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the if (!aa) var aa = { iframes : new Array(), random : function() { return Math.round(Math.random() * 10000000000); }, pageNum : Math.round(Math.random() * 10000000000), refresh : function(iframeId) { if (typeof(iframeId) != 'undefined') { var iframe = document.getElementById(iframeId); if (iframe) { iframe.name = iframeId; var oldSrc = iframe.src || iframe.getAttribute('data-src'); var newSrc = oldSrc.replace(/misc=[0-9]+/, 'misc=' + aa.random()); if (newSrc !== undefined) { var newFrame = iframe.cloneNode(true); newFrame.src = newSrc; iframe.parentNode.replaceChild(newFrame, iframe); } } } else { for (var i in this.iframes) this.refresh(this.iframes[i]); } } }; //no AJAX refresh for inline ads aa.adServer = 'http://media2.legacy.com/'; aa.target = ''+ '/3.0'+ '/5306.1'+ '/1400071'+ '/0'+ '/-1/size=30x1'+ '/adtech;'+ 'alias=legacy.thestar.lifestory.30x1.1.1;'+ 'target=_blank;'+ 'key=' + escape('CCSONTARIO') + ';'+ 'kvopenextapp=' + escape('1') +';'+ 'kvcobrand=' + escape('thestar') +';'+ 'kvpersonid=' + escape('170707536') +';'+ 'sub1=' + escape('Canadian Cancer Society') + ';'+ 'sub2=' + escape('https://secure2.convio.net/cco/site/SPageServer?pagename=on_donationapi_direct&donform=permem&s_src=Legacy.com&s_subsrc=CLIO&utm_source=Legacy.com&utm_content=CLIO&utm_campaign=DONATIONS_ON') + ';'; if (typeof aa !== 'undefined' && typeof aa.kvscreenwidth !== 'undefined') aa.target += 'kvscreenwidth=' + escape(aa.kvscreenwidth()) + ';'; if (typeof aa !== 'undefined' && typeof aa.criteo !== 'undefined') aa.target += aa.criteo; aa.src = aa.adServer + 'addyn' + aa.target + 'grp=' + aa.pageNum +';misc=' + aa.random(); document.write("<div data-src='" + aa.src + "\' id='a4d65619938b43448a88d74133e383b7' class='scriptHolder' style='display:inline;'><\/div>"); Canadian Cancer Society .
