-><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Brennan, Ourania Barbara06/17/2013 - 06/22/2013Ourania Barbara Brennan was born into this world on June 17, 2013 and fell asleep in the Lord on June 22. She is survived by her devoted parents, Daniel and Alison (Sheridan) Brennan and her loving sister Calliope, all of Binghamton, NY; her grandparents, Joseph and Joanne Sheridan and Wayne Brennan, all of Syracuse, NY; along with many special aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was welcomed into heaven by her grandmother, Barbara (Isgar) Brennan, who passed away in December 2012. After receiving her diagnosis of anencephaly in January, Daniel and Alison wanted nothing more than to experience the joy of meeting Ourania despite the probable brevity of her life. Ourania surpassed all expectations, fighting back countless times to give her family a lifetime of precious memories. Ourania received the Sacrament of Baptism, visited the Chapel at Lourdes Hospital, and felt the warm sun on her face. She spent nearly her entire life in her parents' loving embrace, passing away peacefully at home in her mother's arms. Ourania continues to provide for the needs of others through numerous tissue and organ donations. Ourania's family wishes to acknowledge everyone she touched, but especially the following individuals: Dr. Michael Farrell, Dr. James Kondrup, and the staff at Broome OB/GYN; Karen Roeske, Brianna Pompey, and the staff of the Women's & Children's Center at Lourdes Hospital; Mike Garlough of the Center for Donation & Transplant; Greg Lewis of Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Photography; Father Krzysztof Boretto and the Spiritual Care Department at Lourdes Hospital; Father Timothy Taugher and Sister Karen Gaube of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Ourania will be remembered in a Memorial Mass celebrating her life at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1031 Chenango Street, Binghamton, NY 13901.
