Opal Louise Norris, 91, North Port, died March 20, 2004, at Quality Health Care. She was born Oct. 12, 1912, in Swansea, South Wales, and came to Englewood in 1973 from Champaign, Ill. She was a cashier for more than 15 years at Follett's Book Store on the campus of the University of Illinois. She volunteered with F.I.S.H. in North Port from 1975 to 1992. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Constance Risner of Hurst, Texas, and North Port. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, with a service to follow, at Lemon Bay Funeral Home, Englewood Chapel. Burial will be in Champaign. Lemon Bay Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Englewood, is in charge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 4285 Wesley Lane, North Port, FL 34285.
