HALL, Olive Mary FrancesWith great sadness we announce the passing of Olive Mary Frances Hall (Nee Johnson) on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Born on August 2, 1922 in Alsask, Saskatchewan, Olive moved with her family to Burnaby, British Columbia in 1925. Predeceased by her husband Robert in 1975, she is survived by her three children Thomas (Mavis), Sharon, and Corinne (Michael); Grandchildren Sean, Carey, Robert, Ashley, James, Elisha (Sean), Janell (Matthew) and Great-Grandchildren Phoebe and Patrick. She is survived by her brother Glen (Irene) and her sister Dixie, as well as many nieces and nephews. A loyal Canucks and Blue Jays fan, Olive was a huge sports lover and an avid bowler. She enjoyed playing baseball in her early years. She loved to bake, was active in her church's activities and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. Olive cherished her time with family, including her seven siblings and close friends. She was always ready and eager to participate in family celebrations. She also was known for her strength and positive outlook during times of hardship. Her laugh was unforgettable. Her unwavering faith was inspiring and always evident. Even though our hearts are dearly saddened, we find peace in knowing she is now home with Our Lord Jesus Christ. A Memorial to celebrate Olive's life will be held at Burnaby North Baptist Church, 3977 Albert St., Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Our special thanks to Pastor Jim Walton for his care, support, and guidance. Following the service, tea and refreshments will be offered in the Church's auditorium. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please donate to a charity of your choice.
