CLIFTON SPRINGS- Olive M. Davis age 96 of the Spa Apartments passed away on Thursday (March 8, 2012) at the Clifton Springs Hospital.A Celebration of Olive's life will be held 11 a.m. Monday (March 12th) at the Clifton Springs United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Clifton Springs United Methodist Church or to the House of John in Olive's memory.Olive was born April 4, 1915 in Arnot, Penn., the daughter of the late Curtis and Esther Kelsey. Earlier in Olive's life she was employed at the Clifton Springs Sanitarium and later she retired from the Newark Developmental Center after 10 years of service. Olive enjoyed gardening, crocheting and embroidery. She taught everyone in her family how to play canasta. But most important to Olive was spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren whom she adored. Olive is survived by her children, Audrey (John) Moldt of FL., James (Maris) Avery of Clifton Springs and Esther (Larry) Brown of Texas.; Grandchildren, John, Danny, Kathy, Christine, James, Chad, Michelle, Dennis and Brian; nine Great grandchildren and five Great great grandchildren; sister, Helen (Edgar) Cottrell of Geneva; Several nieces and nephews.Olive is predeceased by her husbands, James Avery and Robert Davis; 10 sisters and brothers.Condolences may be made at www.patrickfuneralhome.com
