Obituary of Olga-Mary Carter

CARTER, Olga Mary (nee Szakonyi) May 1933-August 12, 2006 It is with our deepest sorrow and regret that Jeanne Caron and Deborah LaPorte announce the sudden passing of our beloved Mother. Olga was predeceased by her daughter Sharon Carter (1985), her brother Edward Szakonyi (1983) and her son-in-law Robert Ouellette (1992). In life she will be remembered by her Mother Mary Lendvai, her sons-in-law Paul Caron & Pat LaPorte and by her most cherished possessions, her grandchildren Danielle LaPorte, Justin Ouellette, and Erica LaPorte. Paul's children Greg Caron, Laurie Brabant and Kim Caron and two grandchildren Lily and Brady Brabant were also thought of as her own. Remaining siblings Mary Fox (Lloyd) Steve Lendvai (Ruth) Shirley Rumball (Garry) and sister-in-law Pearl Szakonyi mourn the loss of their sister. Olga has many nieces and nephews of whom she was very fond as well as some true friends she made along the way. In her working years she started out at Stouffers on the Boulevard in Detroit and in the later years she came to this side of the border to Menkin's Card Shop and sold Avon products as well. To honour our Mother's love of creatures great or small you may direct your donations, if you so desire, to the Windsor and Essex County Humane Society (In lieu of flowers).
