GRANT, OlgaIt is with great sadness that the family of Olga Grant announces her passing on April 22, 2013 after living a life filled with love for her husband and family.Olga was born in Hafford, Saskatchewan where she spent her early years. During World War II, she worked in Edmonton on a U.S. project for the construction of the Whitehorse highway. Following that she traveled to Ajax, Ontario and worked at the Defense Industries Ammunitions Plant, supplying bombs for our troops overseas. She later returned to Edmonton to attend business college where she met and married her husband Leslie in 1945 and settled down to raise their children. She was unsurpassed for her love of cooking and greatly enjoyed many Sunday dinners with family. She also greatly enjoyed trailer camping in the Okanagan and on Vancouver Island.She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband of 67 years, Leslie and their children, Garry (Mary), Karen (Roy) McClocklin and Daryl. She also leaves to mourn two grandchildren, Lori Wagner and Kristy McClocklin, two great-grandchildren, Lili and Luke Wagner, her sisters, Lily Lucyk and Zonia Greschuk, sister-in-law Betty Lou Sully as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.Olga was predeceased by her parents, Wasyl and Marie Sulatycky (nee Krul); her brothers, Michael and Edward Sully, her sisters June Sully and Rose Langbell, her brothers-in-law Don Langbell, Bill Lucyk, Ronnie Grant, Peter Greschuk and sister-in-law, Doris Grant. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Unit 3B at the Dickensfield Extended Care for their devoted care of Olga.A Memorial Service and Celebration of Olga's life will be held at Howard & McBride Westlawn Chapel, 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton on Friday, May 3 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choosing.
