Ola C. Smith <br/> SPARTANBURG, SC --> Ola C. Smith SPARTANBURG, SC-- Ola C. Smith was born on July 28, 1918, the only child to the late Mr. Haney Wyatt and Mrs. Oda Bell Wyatt. She entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Magnolia Place of Spartanburg. Mrs. Smith was the widow of the late Leo 'Sweetie' Smith, Sr. Mrs. Smith was educated in the Pacolet School District; she worked for many years at the Benjamin E. Mays Consolidated School. She was also employed with and retired from Pacolet Mills Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Smith was a member of Montgomery Chapel Baptist Church, where she was an honored and respected pillar of the community and Mother of the Church. She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to: her daughters, Lizette S. (Marvin) King of Dearborn Heights, MI and Corrie R. Smith of Spartanburg, SC; her son, Robert L. (Helen) Smith of Spartanburg, SC; her daughter-in-law, Bessie Smith; her daughter-in-heart, Louise 'Jan' Dillard; her 17 grandchildren; her 46 great grandchildren; her 5 great great-grandchildren; and a host of associates, friends and relatives. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Mr. Leo 'Sweetie' Smith and her son, Leo 'Pee Wee' Smith, Jr. A Celebration of the Life of Ola C. Smith will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Montgomery Chapel Baptist Church, 345 Sunny Acres Rd., Pacolet, SC 29372. Reverend Timothy Mills will officiate. Interment will be held in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of her granddaughter, Pamela Lee, 114 Westmeath Dr., Moore, SC 29369.
