Norman V. Peters, 74, of 17 Quartermaster Drive, Salem, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at Oconee Memorial Hospital. Mr. Peters was born in Peoria, Ill., son of the late Harold J. and Esther A. Korth Peters. He was retired from Standard Oil Co. of Indiana (Amoco) after 35 years in Chicago, where he held various management positions within the Marketing and Sales Departments. He was a member of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church in Clemson and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife Alice Jamieson Peters, of the home; two sons, William R. Peters, and his wife, Pilar, of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Daniel L. Peters, and wife, Deborah, of Yardley, Pa.; a brother, Roger A. Peters, of Gwinn, Mich.; and five grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 5, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Fort Hill Presbyterian Church in Clemson. Memorials may be sent to Fort Hill Presbyterian Church, 399 College Ave., Clemson, SC 29631; or to Leukemia Lymphoma Society Research, 1247 Lake Murray Blvd., Irmo, SC 29063. - Seneca Mortuary is serving the Peters family.
