AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Medical College of GA, Norman Keith Russell, 88, cherished husband of Winifred Russell for 58 years. Mr. Russell was a native of Fillmore, Missouri and lived in Augusta for 38 years. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois with degrees in ceramic engineering and chemistry. He was a member of the American Ceramic Society, and Fellow of The American Ceramic Society, member of the American Legion Post 63, member of Elks Augusta Lodge 205. He was a member of West Lake Country Club. Mr. Russell was an avid golfer with 4 hole in ones as well as first club champion at Waynesborough Country Club, Paoli, PA. He was vice president of marketing and sales for Babcock & Wilcox which later became McDermott. Mr. Russell was president of Key-Win Corporation. He proudly served his country in the U S Army during World War II in the Aleutian Islands. Family members include his wife Winifred Y. Russell, daughters; Winifred (Wendy) R. Lodwick and husband Mark A. of Concord, OH, Karen A. Keris and husband Michael of Denton, TX, Joyce R. Bein of Fairfax, VA, Sandra L. Russell of Las Vegas, NV., four grandchildren; Mark R. Lodwick, Jessica L. Lodwick, Lindsey R. Bein, Philip R. Bein, sisters; Rosemary Schmidt of Fort Wayne, IN., Mary Sybil Beebe of Coronado, CA., brothers; Samuel F. Russell, Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Charles K. Russell of Murrysville, PA. Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his parents Marguerite and Samuel F. Russell and sister, Virginia Francis. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary On The Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Van Alstine celebrant. Entombment will be in Westover Memorial Park Mausoleum.
