Norma Jean Johnson, 69, of Campbellsville, died at 12:01 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2013, in Campbellsville. Daughter of the late William McCarty and Mable Samples McCarty, she was born in Jefferson County, Ky. on Feb. 25, 1944. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Taylors Chapel United Methodist Church. She married David Earl Johnson on Feb. 11, 1961. He survives. Survivors also include two sons, Dwayne Earl Johnson and his wife, Margie Sue, of Somerset, Ky. and Anthony Todd Johnson and his special friend, Linda Welch, of Greensburg, Ky.; a grandson, Daniel Earl Johnson of Somerset; a great-grandson, Zachary Johnson; a sister, Joyce Gatewood and her husband, Wayne, of Louisville, Ky.; a brother, Donald McCarty of Lincoln, Neb.; a nephew, David Wayne Gatewood and his wife, Leigh, of Louisville; a great-nephew, Dylan Gatewood of Louisville; and several other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Lee Johnson, in December 2012; and a brother, Ralph McCarty. Funeral was Wednesday, April 3, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Mark Price officiated. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
