Norma Jean Handlon Lucas - SAVANNAH - Norma Jean Handlon Lucas, 74, of Savannah, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Robert Lucas, Jr. Norma was a homemaker and a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by five daughters, Cynthia Leadmon, (Kenny) of Ohio, Vickie Deverges (Harry) of Guyton, Lori Blackston (Jamie) of Pembroke, Karen Cowden (Kenny) of Ohio, Becki Terry (Ronnie) of Savannah; one brother, Calvin Handlon of Ohio; 20 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Memorial Service: 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Silk Hope United Methodist Church with pastor Abbey Officiating. Burial will be private.
