<!-- FH = Ronk Funeral Home (731) 696-5555 -->Gadsden, TN - Norma Faye Baker went home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2010 after a long illness.She was a musician, southern gospel singer, poet, illustrator, and songwriter. She wrote many of the songs her family sang, was also an artist and writer. She considered being an Ambassador for Christ, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her greatest roll in life.She was preceded in death by her mother, Sylvia Dell Williams; her stepfather, Oscar Williams; her father, Leonard E. Simmons; two brothers, Bill E. Simmons, Larry Edward Simmons and one sister, Martie Murphy.She leaves behind six children, Vicki Baker Ditto (Roy Lynn Ditto), Tommy Baker (Shelby Emison), Billy Baker (Becky Baker), Missie Baker Jones (Randy Jones), Benita Baker Todd and Kip Baker (Angie Baker).She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, three sisters and many friends and loved ones.Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Ronk Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, 4 till 8 p.m.In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to N.O.A.H., c/o Stella Gibson, 6013 Hwy. 88, Maury City, TN 38050.Ronk Funeral Home, (731) 696-5555.
