BALLARD, Norma Angela Bourgeois, 91, of Tampa, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Nov. 21, 2012. Mrs. Ballard was born in New Orleans, and was a resident of Tampa, for the last 44 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles & Angela Bourgeois of New Orleans; her sister, Helen Bourgeois of Tampa; and her loving husband, James P. Ballard of Tampa. Mrs. Ballard is survived by her children, Pat (Lisette) Ballard of Bronxville, NY, Kathy (Steve) Godley of Lutz, FL and Mary (Jeff) Lucas of Helena, AL. She was affectionately called Mimi by her grandchildren, Angela (Alan) Alonso of Land O' Lakes, Scott Ballard of Brenham, TX, Melanie (Joshua) Nicholson of Tampa, Amanda (David) Tuck of Pelham, AL; & six great-grandchildren, Lauren, Megan, Lindsey, Logan, Clara & Ella Grace. Mrs. Ballard was instrumental in opening the first Montessori School in Tampa. She was a member of the Town n Country Garden Club. Her last church membership was at Idlewild Baptist Church and completed Bible Study Fellowship. Visitation will be held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa 33610, 813-626-3161, from 10:30-12:30 pm, funeral services will begin at 12:30 pm. Burial will take place at the Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
