Obituary of Norma Anderson

BEECH ISLAND, S.C. - Norma Jean Miller Anderson, known to her siblings as Junie, entered eternal rest with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 12, 2012. She was born in Hinesville, Georgia on March 29, 1929, the second oldest of eight children born to Laura Marguerite Floyd and Rufus Lester Miller. She had resided in Beech Island, South Carolina for a number of years, but recently moved to Birmingham, Alabama to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Audley David Anderson, Jr., an infant grandson, Russell Spencer Simon, and three of her six brothers, Morris Miller, Lloyd Miller and Ferrell Miller. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Diane Anderson Simon (Harold), four grandsons, David Caldwell Simon, Wesley Cullen Simon, Jesse Anderson Simon, and Philip Jordan Simon, a sister, Margaret Miller Wallace (James) and three brothers, Clifton Miller (Hazel), Bobby Miller (Rose Marie) and David Miller (Ellen), and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Anderson loved her family and was most appreciative of all they did for her. In her typical independent fashion of never wanting to trouble anyone to go out of their way for her, she requested that no memorial service be held.
